November 8-15, 2026

Mesquite Rec Center Field, 100 West Old Mill Road

The Virgin Valley Chapter of the National Daughters of the American Revolution, NSDAR, is honored to continue a beloved Mesquite tradition by hosting the 20th Annual 1000 Flags Over Mesquite

For the past 19 years, the Mesquite Exchange Club faithfully presented this awe-inspiring, annual week-long tribute honoring our Nation's heroes.  We are deeply grateful for their dedication and are honored to carry this cherished event forward into it's twentieth year.  This year's display is especially meaningful as we celebrate not only the 20th anniversary of 1000 Flags Over Mesquite, but also America's 250th Birthday.  We invite our entire community to join us in honoring our veterans and celebrating the enduring spirit of our nation.  Funds raised through this event help make this event possible, with proceeds benefiting local community charities and other qualified 50l(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.

We invite you to become a part of this extraordinary event!

Ways to Get Involved.

2 Ways to Sponsor a Flag

Dedicate a flag_edited.jpg

Honor a veteran or active-duty service member and Sponsor a Flag - watch it fly at the field. Dedicate the flag in honor, or in memory, of one who has served, or is currently serving our country.  All flags and materials utilized in the display are 100% American Made!

  • Stop by the field anytime 24/7 during the November 8-15 week to personally sponsor a flag for $35.  Receive a dedication ribbon to add your own description and attach it to the flag you choose in the field.  After the 2pm closing ceremony on November 15, you can either take your flag to fly it at your home, or you can choose to donate it back to 1000 Flags, and it will proudly fly again next year.

  • Won't be in town during the week-long tribute?  You can still sponsor a flag by completing this form.

Visit the Field

During the tribute (24 hours a day)

  • The field is lighted at night.  Walk among the flags any time and read the remembrances, and listen with your hearts to the silent stories of the thousands of brave Americans who have served and are currently serving our great nation at home and abroad.  Witness old Glory flying from 1,000 full-sized American flags standing with military precision in silent splendor over Mesquite, while the Virgin Valley Chapter, NSDAR, and community volunteers stand vigil 24 hours a day.

  • Come to the fields during two special ceremonies on November 11 and 15, and join your voice with your neighbors as we say "Thank You, and Welcome Home" to those who have served, followed by the dismantling of the field.

  • This is a free event and we welcome the entire community to  attend.
